Signs of the Sojourner is a very unique and different card game. In Signs of the Sojourner, you play a person who has recently lost their mother. It doesn’t go into how you lost her, just she recently died. So doing what any child would do, you and your friend Elias decided to keep your mother’s one thing going, and that is her store. She kept the store furnished by going on a Caravan. So while Elias will run the store you have been left with the task of finding things to fill the store with to sell, by going on the Caravan. If you are not successful, Nadine who owed a favor to your mother will stop bringing the Caravan through which could hurt your home town.

What makes this game really unique and different is the fact, that you play a card game to push the story along. You match the shapes and if you make a long great connection, the story continues in a positive way, if you mess up the chain then the conversation goes bad. This gives a whole new meaning to believe the heart of the cards. There is a possibility that you can not make matches so you must choose your cards wisely.

I really enjoyed the game, as it was different then most card games that I have played in the past. The game in my opinion is more of a Visual Novel with a card element added to it, making it interactive and holding your attention while you enjoy a great story. The artwork is simply stunning and very pleasant to the eyes as well, and because of that I do recommend the game, if you are into visual novels as well as card games. If you would like to play Signs of the Sojourner for yourself you can do so on PC or macOS via Steam for $19.99 USD.

Ready Sets Gaming is a variety streamer on Twitch with a love and passion for indie games. She has been gaming for 30+ years; and feels that a lot of indie games go back to the games that she grew up with and aren't afraid to think outside of the box to make a game. It is because of this thought process that she prefers to play a majority of indie titles, but still likes to play Triple-A titles and Retro games too. She enjoys searching through itch.io platform and looking for games that are stream friendly, and then playing them on stream to get them the exposure they may not be getting. Some of her favorite game genres include Platformers, Puzzlers, Role-Playing and she's recently developed a loved for Shmups.
