-Ready Set Indie Games-

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix is a Rhythm Game featuring the very famous Hatsune Miku and her friends from around the globe. The game features 83 songs on its roster, which all of them are in Japanese, so if you’re a big J-music fan you will really love this game. Some of the songs are really catchy, others will leave you scratching your head, but it does give me the nostalgia of being at the arcade and playing the old school DDR machine before they went commercialized.

The game features two game modes an Arcade Mode and a Mix Mode. In the above gameplay video I was able to play one of the songs, to show you gameplay of the Arcade Mode which is a Rhythm Game. I had to clip the video to the one song but originally it was supposed to be a 15-minute gameplay video.

I really enjoyed the Arcade Mode of the game as I love rhythm games you can relax with and playing this on easy is not exactly too easy but still relaxing enough. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the Mix Mode. Mainly because I couldn’t get my Joy-Cons to match up accordingly with the buttons and the controls felt a little awkward to me. I normally don’t play rhythm games like the way Mix Mode is intended. However, if you are a fan of games like Just Dance, then the Mix Mode will be right for you as it gets you moving.

Overall, if you are a fan of Hatsune Miku or just simply love rhythm and dance games, I would say pick it up because it would be in your best interest. If you would like to play Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix for yourself you can do so on the Nintendo Switch for $39.39 USD.

Ready Sets Gaming is a variety streamer on Twitch with a love and passion for indie games. She has been gaming for 30+ years; and feels that a lot of indie games go back to the games that she grew up with and aren't afraid to think outside of the box to make a game. It is because of this thought process that she prefers to play a majority of indie titles, but still likes to play Triple-A titles and Retro games too. She enjoys searching through itch.io platform and looking for games that are stream friendly, and then playing them on stream to get them the exposure they may not be getting. Some of her favorite game genres include Platformers, Puzzlers, Role-Playing and she's recently developed a loved for Shmups.
