Sports media giant ESPN will air a special E:60 episode focused on Evil Geniuses, the five-man team that won the recently concluded The International DOTA 2 tournament and took home $6.6 million.
ESPN called the event the “Super Bowl of competitive gaming.” The episode will air this fall, though a specific premiere date was not announced.
E:60 is ESPN’s weekly, hour-long investigate journalism TV show that dives deep into all kinds of sports stories.
Video games aren’t entirely unfamiliar territory, however, as one previous segment focused on the evolution of sports video games.
