Rocket League, the popular car soccer game from Psyonix that launched last month, got a big update today. This patch includes support for the game’s first substantial DLC pack, called Supersonic Fury, in addition to a bunch of tweaks and changes.
The DLC includes a lot of new customization options, including two brand-new cars. Both vehicles come with six decals each. The pack also features five paint types, two wheels, and two Rocket Boosts. It adds three new trophies, as well, and it costs $4. You can see the DLC in action below.
In addition, the update adds a new, free map called Utopia Coliseum, which is based on a field from Psyonix’s previous game, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. Although the field is the same, the map is set in a stadium similar to the Roman Coliseum. The patch also adds a bunch of new items and features, such as 70 additional country flags, a spectator mode in private matches, and an ability to forfeit ranked matches. You can see the full list of changes in Version 1.04 below.

Although Utopia Coliseum isn’t very different than the other maps in the game, players can expect DLC in the future that much more radically changes Rocket League’s gameplay. Recently, Psyonix revealed that “crazy different maps” are currently in development.
Rocket League launched last month and was positively received, quickly accumulating more than 5 million downloads across PlayStation 4 and PC. Although Psyonix has given no concrete plans for ports to other systems, the developer has confirmed that the game will definitely come to platforms other than PS4 and PC.
