With the release of the New Nintendo 3DS XL now just days away, Nintendo has published a tutorial video that explains exactly how to transfer your existing content to the new device.
Notably, you’ll need a #0 Phillips screwdriver to complete the process, at least if you want to do it quickly. That method involves using the screwdriver to remove New Nintendo 3DS XL battery cover to replace the microSD card.
Alternatively, provided your existing Nintendo 3DS sports a 4GB or smaller SD card, you can transfer your content over a wireless connection. However, this could take hours, Nintendo says in a page on its official support site.
Check out the video above to see how to complete the data transfer process. For an even more detailed breakdown, head to this page to see full step-by-step instructions.
The New Nintendo 3DS XL launches on February 13 for $200. Also on that day, new games like The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be released, and each is getting a special-edition bundle.
