Namco Bandai has filed its financial report for the quarter ending June 30, and it looks like the publisher can partly thank Tekken for a solid sales boost (via Gamasutra).
Tekken 6 lead the way for the publisher with 1.07 million units selling worldwide, followed by Taiko Drum Master (170K), Ben 10 Alien Force (110K) and Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Masou Kishin (110K).
Tekken helped raise the game segment’s sales to 32.9 billion yen ($383.36 million) from 20.0 billion yen ($234.3 million), allowing the publisher to cut its losses significantly. Last year at this time, Namco Bandai suffered total losses of 2.8 billion yen ($32.9 million), compared to 1.6 billion yen ($18.7 million) this year.
