In some unfortunate news, Turntable.fm will be shutting down its social DJ service due to high costs and a lack of visitors. Instead, Turntable.fm will focus on their Turntable Live platform that allows for the streaming of live concerts. If you have tracks left behind with their DJ service, don’t worry. The service will be shutting down on December 2. Turntable.fm says “all your playlists and songs can be exported to Spotify or CSV” before then. For its final day, the company will be handing out commemorative t-shirts as well as hosting a party.
