Yet another easter egg has been discovered! Google’s easter eggs are always fun, and this one is no exception, while being geeky at the same time!
When a user asks Google Now to “Beam me up Scotty”, the reply will be a familiar voice saying “I cannot do it captain, I do not have the power.” This easter egg pays tribute to the most famous phrase of the show which was never said by the great Captain Kirk.
Google Now normally gives a very straightforward answer to anything that you ask, which makes these easter eggs even more fun! The people over at Google are clearly Star Trek fans given the fact that Google Now was codenamed Majel in reference to Majel Barrett, the wife of the creator of Star Trek and the voice of the ship.
More and more of these easter eggs are being found inside of Google Now, such as the ability to use “Ok Jarvis” instead of “Ok Google”. Do you have a favorite? Let us know in the comments below!
