Re-release of classic PS2 adventure title to have remastered graphics, 1080p feature, and Move support.

Gamers clamouring for a re-release of Studio Clover’s critically-acclaimed adventure title Okami will be pleased to know that Capcom will be releasing a HD version of the game by the end of this year in Japan.

According to an advanced copy of Famitsu (via
Sinobu and Tales Source), the PlayStation 3 game will be re-titled ‘Okami Zekkie-ban’ (or ‘Okami: Magnificent Edition’ in English). This version of the game will not only have re-mastered HD graphics, but will also support full 1080p options on current televisions. The game will also have PlayStation Move controller support; players use the Move controller to activate celestial brush powers.

The re-mastered game will be out on November 1 and will be priced at ¥3,990 ($51). Gamers who buy the first print run of the title will get a code to download the digital version of Okami: A Caricature of Beasts, a Japanese book adaptation of the game’s story.

North American and Europe versions will be out in digital form this fall for $19.99/£15.99/€19.99 in the respective territories. For more information on the PlayStation 2 version of the game, check out GameSpot’s review.
