A few weeks ago I wrote an article about the newest Pokemon game on the horizon. Over the last few days, there have been a few major updates on the game and I thought it best to update you guys.
For starters, the release date has finally been announced! According to the Japanese magazine, Jump, the release date has been set for March 17, 2012! However, there is still no word if there are plans to release the game in North America. It was also announced that next week on January 19th, 2012, there will be a press event held in honor of the games completion. The press event will be streamed online and include developer interviews, special guests, and more.
Furthermore, details on the game world and battle system have been announced! The game world will be split into 17 kingdoms and your goal is to unite the land by defeating your rival generals. The battle system will place six allied units against six enemy units. The units are all Pokemon and will each have a special skill based on their type. There is no word yet on what the storyline for the game will be.
