It may not be as timely asexpected, but those who purchase Battlefield 3 on PlayStation 3 will get the free copy of Battlefield 1943 they were promised earlier this year.
Back in June, during its E3 press conference, Sony announced exclusives for the PS3 versions of several multiplatform games. Among them was a free copy of 1943 (a downloadable title released in 2009) that would be included with Battlefield 3 on PS3. It sounded like a nice reason to pick up the game on PS3 as opposed to another platform, only it wasn’t included when the game came out in October.
