Brink leads Aussie releases, with Steel Diver and MX vs. ATV Alive rounding out the pack.
Splash Damages newest shooter Brink explodes onto Aussie store shelves this week, bringing with it a high level of character customisation, four archetypes (or character classes), and the ability to do smooth parkour-like moves around levels with the games SMART (smooth movement across random terrain) system. Brink takes place in the year 2035 in a floating city called The Ark following the Earth’s near-total destruction. Two warring factions, the Security and the Resistance, are going head-to-head in a bid to outdo each other and take control of the city. You’ll be able to choose between these two factions when playing through the campaign. The shooter comes out on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 on May 12.
The Nintendo 3DSs game library continues to grow, with Steel Diver finally getting a local release on May 12. The submarine game is an adventure that features two different modes–mission (a traditional side-scrolling mode where you have to navigate your sub through various obstacles) and periscope (a first-person view that uses the 3DSs internal gyroscope to line up attacks).
