After taking its service offline earlier today, Sony Online Entertainment has issued a warning to customers that an attack on its systems may have resulted in hackers obtaining users’ personal data including: name, address, email, gender, birthdate, phone number, username, and password.

Following last week’s admission that the PlayStation Network’s security had been compromised in an attack leading to an unauthorized individual obtaining users’ personal information, SOE follows up with a deja vu-inducing incident.
