As much as I would like to see Rockstar take Grand Theft Auto somewhere new, I’m not entirely opposed to seeing one based in Los Angeles. San Andreas did partially take place in an LA-inspired locale, but that was a much less serious game than the direction Rockstar has gone with since then. As a result, I’d expect a new GTA in LA to be far different — new information about what would appear to be GTA5 indicates a much different story than the gang banger story of San Andreas, but of course, we can’t be certain about these new details until there’s some official confirmation. Even so, it’s fun to speculate about what could be.
