Assault Heroes developer Wanako Studios prepping Sanctum of Slime for PSN, XBL, PC next spring.
The Ghostbusters are back in business. A USA Today report has taken the wraps of Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime, a downloadable sequel set for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC next year.
According to the report, the game will be a cooperative adventure game playable online or offline by up to four players, with screens depicting a top-down view as opposed to the previous game’s over-the-shoulder approach. Despite the change, the game still has ties to that title as the campaign once again puts players in the jumpsuit of the squad’s newest rookie. That might be the only familiar (human) face, as none of the original Ghostbusters actors from the films are set to appear in Sanctum of Slime.
The game is in the works at Wanako Studios, a downloadable developer best known for the Assault Heroes and 3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures franchises. According to USA Today, Atari and Sony are “teaming up” to release the game. The two companies split duties on the previous Ghostbusters game as well, with Sony handling the European release on its own systems.
