Where to Buy: Steam

Gameplay: Freedom vs. Friction
“The core of the game is still that ‘build whatever you want’ DNA from the first one, but on a much bigger scale. The addition of 4-player co-op is the absolute game-changer here; exploring the world with friends makes the exploration feel way less lonely. The skill trees are deep, and I love that your starting attributes actually matter nowโyou canโt just be a master-of-all-trades without some serious trade-offs.

That said, the combat is still pretty janky. Itโs definitely improved over the original, but youโll still deal with attacks not registering, weird animations, and magic that sometimes just… fails to fire. Itโs a sandbox where the ‘sand’ is still a bit coarse, but the freedom to fly, teleport, and break the game with weird builds is still the best part.”
Early Access Quality: A Work in Progress

“Weโve got to be real: this game is very Early Access. Since the January 2026 ‘Berkmere Ravine’ update, the world feels more alive, and the new faction war stuff adds some much-needed weight to your choices. The developer, Oleg, is clearly working his tail off, but youโre going to see:
- Bugs everywhere: Clipping through rocks, companions getting stuck on literal pebbles, and occasional multiplayer disconnects.
- The ‘Empty’ Vibe: While thereโs more content than at launch, some zones still feel a bit hollow or unfinished.
- The Voice Acting: Itโs… an acquired taste. Itโs often so unintentionally funny that it becomes a feature rather than a bug, but donโt expect The Witcher 3 levels of polish.”
Is It Worth Playing Yet?

“If you loved the first Gedonia and can handle a heavy dose of indie ‘jank’ in exchange for total creative freedom, then yes, it’s worth it. Itโs a great ‘podcast game’โsomething you can sink hours into while messing around with builds.
However, if youโre looking for a smooth, polished RPG experience without bugs, you should definitely wait. It probably needs another year or so in the oven to really iron out the movement and combat issues. Right now, youโre paying to be a playtester, but at least the developer actually listens to the community.”
The Verdict: “It’s a diamond in the very, very rough. If you have three friends who don’t mind a few crashes and glitchy animations, you’ll have a blast. If you’re playing solo and hate clunky controls, stick to the first game for now.”
