So the PlayStation Phone is about as announced as a device can be without an official announcement, having previously been leaked through both photo and video. But the leaks keep on coming, and now the latest series of pictures to hit the net give an even better view of the phone, and also confirms it’ll run Android 2.3.
You can check out all the shots at Engadget, including the visual proof of the phone running Android 2.3, along with shots comparing it next to a Sony Ericcson Xpyria X10. The shots also show the phone having Sony’s Xpyria brand (as well as, finally, the PlayStation brand), lending credence to rumors that it could officially be called the “Xpyria Play.”
A report out of Japan late last month pegged the phone for a spring release. And with Sony’s CES press conference set to take place tomorrow at 5PM PST, there’s a good chance that the long-awaited official announcement could finally be made. Check back in tomorrow and we’ll all find out, but for now, you can see a couple more pictures below.
