Microsoft didn’t have a whole lot to reveal for gamers during its Consumer Electronics Show press conference tonight — there was certainly no sign of the Xbox 360’s successor, as one of last year’s many rumors suggested there would be.
There was, however, a promotional video released in conjunction with the event that touts some impressive figures for Microsoft’s videogame business, including the latest sales figures for Xbox 360 and Kinect.
The video states that there have been 66 million Xbox 360 systems sold, though given the nature of the video, there was no mention of whether that is the number of systems shipped or sold through to customers. The same can be said for the Kinect figure shared: the sensor is up to 18 million units sold.
