The World of Goo is about to ooze over the iPad. 2D Boy announced today that the highly-regarded indie puzzler is currently awaiting approval for an app store release and should be out soon.
Along with the official announcement, the team announced that the iPad version will include multiplayer (“11 fingers on one screen”) in the vein of the Wii version. World of Goo has also been released for PC and Mac.
The team also said that an iPhone release is possible, but that they don’t want to release it unless it “runs absolutely buttery smooth.” A sequel is another possibility, but it will need to “feel like a perfect and appropriate continuation of the first game.”
