The WiiWare version of Super Meat Boy has been canceled, and the possibility of a retail version is suddenly “looking grim,” Team Meat announced today on Twitter.
The development team gave no reason for the cancelation of the WiiWare version. It was originally slated to launch in November, but was delayed due to compression issues.
A Super Meat Boy Special Edition for the PC was also supposed to hit retailers in January, but that appears to be in doubt as well. It was to include artwork, mockups of characters who didn’t make the cut, and other extras. Team Meat said they are “still looking” though.
