Confirming reports that have been circulating for nearly a month, Nintendo officially announced the Wii’s price will drop to $149.99 on May 15.
Rather than continue to include Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, as Nintendo has been doing recently (the system initially included only Wii Sports), the new bundled game will be Mario Kart Wii, which originally came out in April 2008. As with a standalone copy, the Wii bundle will include a Wii Wheel in either white or black, depending on the color of the system you buy. The black wheel, as a new item, will also be sold separately for $9.99.
