Developer Owlchemy Labs has announced that its Job Simulator will be one of the first projects designed for Valve’s SteamVR and other virtual reality devices.
Job Simulator takes place in 2050, when the robots have taken over all of our cooking, cleaning, and other service job. For this reason, Job Bot has created Job Simulator, which teaches humans what it was like to have a job.
As you can see in the very brief teaser video above, Job Simulator looks a lot like Surgeon Simulator, which finds humor and difficulty in menial tasks by letting you awkwardly interact with objects and the game’s physics engine.
“It’s thrilling to play a part in the upcoming explosion of consumer VR and we’re proud to add another amazing opportunity to the list by being one of only a few select developers building content for some of the most incredible VR hardware in the world,” Owlchemy Labs said.
Job Simulator will be playable with SteamVR in Valve’s booth at GDC.
