Orpheus Interactive has released the first trailer for its mobile game based on the Sons of Anarchy television series, Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect.
The most interesting thing about the first trailer is that it apparently reveals the game uses the first-person perspective. We see the player character riding a bike, getting in a fight, and other criminal activities you’d expect to see in a game based on Sons of Anarchy.
The video was originally shared by Sons of Anarchy series creator Kurt Sutter via Twitter, where he also posted a link to the game’s official website. There isn’t much there at the moment but you can sign up to receive more information as it’s released. Sutter previously described The Prospect as a “high-end” mobile game. As you can see in the trailer, at least in terms of graphics, it looks a little like Telltale’s adventure games for mobile.
Fox Digital Entertainment previously said, Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect will be released episodically, with subsequent installments to follow after the debut. The game will tell an original story, and take players to previously unexplored locations and situations of the biker drama franchise.
The Prospect is being developed by Canadian studios Orpheus Interactive and Silverback Games. Sutter and his creative team are also attached to the project.
Sutter’s attempts to make a Sons of Anarchy game have been well-documented. The game was at one time thought to be “dead,” and has reportedly gone through multiple design changes.
