The newest Warhammer 40,000 title from Relic Entertainment, Space Marine, is headed to PC early next year alongside the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. When it was announced at last year’s E3, only the two console versions were shown.
The lack of a PC version from Relic would have been a surprise, given that nearly every one of the developer’s games has been released on PC. Then again, almost all of Relic’s games (Company of Heroes, Dawn of War, Homeworld) have also been of the real-time strategy variety, so as a third-person action game, Space Marine is already a departure from the norm.
Space Marine is expected to be released on all three platforms in early 2011.
