Retired professional skateboarder Tony Hawk teased earlier this week he would have a videogame-related announcement of some sort to make today. Ahead of what’s sure to be the official reveal during the Spike TV Video Game Awards tonight, Hawk has revealed two of the more adored games in his skateboarding franchise are getting the high-def treatment. Sort of.
Speaking with Joystiq today, he explained that the new game is called Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD. It is comprised of levels from the first two Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games (which were released in 1999 and 2000, respectively) and, as the name suggests, they’ll be in HD. Besides sharing that School and Downhill are among the levels included, he didn’t mention anything else specific like what game modes are available or if online multiplayer support is present.
