Expect to see sequels to UFC Undisputed for many, many years to come. THQ just announced that it has secured the rights to create games based on the UFC license until 2018.
Previous deals between THQ and UFC license-holder Zuffa, LLC would have allowed the company to produce UFC-branded games until 2011. Now that partnership will be extended through the better part of the decade.
This year’s UFC failed to match its predecessor’s phenomenal sales numbers, but THQ obviously isn’t ready to submit to EA Sports MMA just yet.
