Two things that hit the spot in today’s pop culture are really good AAA games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, and adult coloring books. Especially those with high-quality materials. Titan Comics presents to us a delightfully made coloring book, with thick large pages. Welcoming those who would like to use coloring pencils, markers, or even if you feel frisky water paints. Where the drawings in the book are so good, you feel guilty to color them in. Which will not, or should not stop anyone. Of course.

Flipping through the generously large pages, every page is consistent with high-quality illustrations. Each felt crisp to look at. Depth and detail behind every page. The heaviness of the pages. I tried colored pencils, some markers, as well as crayons. I found the best results were with obviously with color pencil. I do not have watercolors on hand. However, the paper could handle this, if you do not mind some light warping afterward. I assume the studio behind Titan Comics would strongly suggest sticking to markers or colored pencils as it is the safer route for beginners. Usually, I stick to colored pencils myself as they are easy to work with on my end. I use a marker for highlighted edging if I feel the pencil does not pop out enough. Overall just in touch-up doodling. After this here, every page has different skill levels welcomed in for coloring. The price of the books currently balances out. As it is also a collector’s item, to say the least. $14.99 Is affordable. all of the 80 pages offer insane delight or really well-done rough drawings, to detailed scenes.

The beginning of a rough color for the book. As you can see from the paper, it takes in the color very well!

Overall the coloring book is fantastic for artists/people who just want to color in one of their favorite game series of all time. I loved the book itself, buying even more coloring pencils to go to work on it and try to color every page. One of the things to note about the coloring book is the thickness of the book prevents the folding of the book like you would want to. So be sure to keep something nearby to keep the book open and stable. If you have not done so already be sure to purchase the book!

A huge thank you to Titan Comics for promising us a copy of the coloring book to sample!
