A tablet-optimized version of a Twitter app has been long requested by tablet owners, and Twitter has come through…kind of. Twitter for Android Tablet has been launched, but only for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition, for now. Support for other Samsung devices will come soon, and then support for other manufacturers’ tablets will follow by the end of the year.
The app takes advantage of a tablet’s larger screen to display tweets, conversations and more in full landscape view. Tapping a tweet expands it to the right side of the screen, revealing previews of any photos, videos, or other links embedded in the tweet.
