Motorola’s Moto X is compatible with the T-Mobile network, but customers wanting to get the device with the carrier will have to go through Motorola. According to T-Mobile’s Chief Marketing Officer Mike Sievert, “the Moto X optimized for T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network will initially be available through Motorola’s channels…We do not plan to stock Moto X devices immediately in our stores…” One of the potential sticking points may be Motorola’s announcement that the device will sell for $199 on subsidized plans, something that T-Mobile no longer offers.

T-Mobile is not the only carrier of the big four that is rather blasé about the Moto X release. Verizon Wireless reluctantly admits they will be selling the device in their stores and online. Verizon’s reluctance to push the device is probably due to the release of their new Droid models, also manufactured by Motorola, last week.
