Nostalgia ruled the register last week in Japan, as a new Wii version of Super Mario All-Stars commemorating the 25th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros. was the top-selling game in the country according to Media Create (via 4Gamer.net). The special bundle (containing a booklet as well as a CD) ended the five week run at the top by Pokemon Black & White.

In third place was the latest Naruto fighting game, selling nearly 20,000 copies more than its predecessor sold in its first week last January. New shooters Vanquish and Medal of Honor (on PS3) sandwiched Kirby’s Epic Yarn in fifth place. Their Xbox 360 counterparts came in 14th and 17th, respectively.
