Street Fighter X Tekken met with a troubled launch and a cool reception on PS3 and Xbox 360. Maybe it’ll do better … on iPhone? Capcom announced today that Street Fighter X Tekken is due for release on iOS this summer.
According to Capcom, the mobile version includes “brand new modes and a brand new take on the tag team mechanic.” So far the only confirmed characters are Ryu, Chun-Li, Kazuya, and Nina, so in its current state that “brand new take” only includes “being able to choose fewer people for your tag team.” We’re confident Capcom will announce more characters before the game’s release, and if SF4 on iOS is any indication, add more characters in free updates.
