Steam’s Beta client received and update this week that makes it much easier to keep track of what pieces of DLC you own for your games, Valve has announced.
When you select a game in your Steam library, you’ll now see a new DLC section right under the achievements section. You can see the name of the item, whether it’s installed or not, when you acquired it, and the associated image. If there’s a piece of DLC that you don’t have but want, you can click a button that will take you to the Steam store page where you can buy it.
It’s a small addition, but a huge improvement. If you’ve been buying a lot of DLC on Steam, then you might have noticed it’s hard to see what DLC you own. Previously, you had to go the store page or launch the game.
As with all Steam Beta client updates, the new DLC feature will be tested for a while before it rolls out to the regular client. If you just can’t wait, opting into the Steam Beta client is easy. Just follow the instructions here.
The most recent Beta client update also added a new browser settings page with the new option to delete the cookies used by the built-in Steam browser, improved caching of downloaded workshop items, and more. You can find the full list of changes and improvements here.
