Valve has kicked off a new incentives program, complete with loot to be claimed for completing objectives. The Steam page details the Treasure Hunt, which will last until December 20. Each day brings new objectives to fulfill, along with sales on the games the objectives are made for in case you don’t own them yet. The goals cycle every two days, but the current objectives include having 10 friends on your Friends List, playing the demo or game The UnderGarden, setting a leaderboard score in AaAaAA!!!, and completing an achievement in Fallout: New Vegas.
Finishing any 10 objectives throughout the promotion and logging onto Steam on December 20 will enter you in a drawing for the grand prize: 100 games of your choice. Completing any one of the four two-day objectives enters you in a drawing for five games from your wish list. Those chances expire as the time periods end, but objectives from previous days are still available to count towards the 10 for the grand prize.
Team Fortress 2 Hats are also up for grabs. Five objectives grants you the Bounty Hat, 15 gets the Treasure Hat, and 28 (i.e. all of them) will earn the Hat of Undeniable Wealth and Respect.
