It’s hard to review indie games as you have to remember while playing that they are budget titles. Star Ninja is a game that makes me wish it was a handheld title, as the idea would work perfectly for such a device. The basic idea is you have a limited number of ninja stars, and you must take out all the pirates before you run out of ninja stars. The idea is great, and the controls make the game a great pick up and play title.
You have 4 different game modes. Sadly, it is just the same level, nothing has changed, just different objectives. With that being said, it is quite addicting. When a game makes you want to finish a stage, it for sure has that pull that most games today just do not have. Besides, you play as a ninja. How is that not awesome?
In conclusion, I recommend Star Ninja to those who want a casual pick up and play title for their xbox. If I had to explain what type of game it was in a sentence, I would say a physics game, with a unique twist. For less then a cup of coffee, you can have Star Ninja in your xbox library. Now please, give us a phone release, this would be a killer app for that! 🙂
