Square Enix just launched a free music service in Japan that allows fans to listen to music from some of their favorite franchises. The service is available on both PC and Android devices. Fans outside of Japan need not worry, because the site is easily accessible and does not require you to log in. Although the site is in Japanese, it’s easy to navigate and has enough English thrown in that just about anyone can use it without a problem. At the moment music is available for the following franchises; Xenogears, Drakengard, Final Fantasy III, Sengoku IXA, SaGA, and El Shaddai. There is no word on whether or not Square Enix will add more music to this catalog, or if they will release an English version of the site. In the meantime you can access the site by following the instructions below:

  1. Go to the following site: http://music.square-enix.com/audio/
  2. You’ll be greeted with a welcome message. Click on the ‘Start’ button towards the bottom
  3. You’ll then be taken to another page where you will see a green bar with the words Emotion, Title, Arrange, and Special. Click on “Title”.
  4. Now you will be given a list of the franchises available. Simply click on the one you want to listen too.
  5. Now click on the play button towards the bottom left and wait for the music to load!
