Following May’s news that the English developer Black Rock Studios (Pure, Split/Second) were to see layoffs after the cancelation of a Split/Second sequel, a statement today, issued to Eurogamer by Disney Interactive, confirms the closure of the Brighton-based studio.
“Disney Interactive Studios confirms that Black Rock Studios’ current project has not been greenlit for further development, consequently the company informed employees yesterday of the intent to enter consultation process on the proposal to close the studios,” says the statement.
