Well, isn’t this just a little bit awkward: Sony today has admitted that, somehow, an “incomplete” version of the Red Dead Redemption Hunting and Trading DLC was released on the PlayStation Store, causing a number of bugs for players who downloaded the pack.
As explained on the PlayStation Blog, Sony has since replaced the broken DLC with the properly working version, which should total 59MB in size, while the improper version is only 15MB. The major problem is that the incomplete version causes a player’s “Days Passed” stat to reset to -2, which is causing a host of other bugs in-game (you can see the complete list of issues below).
So if you did download the incomplete version and are experiencing the issues below, you’ll have to uninstall it before re-downloading the working DLC pack. To do so, Sony’s given a quick step-by-step guide: 1) Enter the XMB (cross media bar) menu; 2) Scroll to the ‘Game’ tab; 3) Select ‘Game Data Utility’; 4) Select ‘Red Dead Redemption’; and 5) Press triangle and select delete. Sony assures that this will not affect your saved game.
