The latest Sonic Generations trailer approaches the danger zone for a Sonic game — it focuses on characters other than Sonic. But since it’s all bosses and rivals instead of Sonic’s infamous cadre of support characters, we can forgive the use of non-Sonic characters.
Besides, this trailer somehow manages to make Shadow the Hedgehog and even Silver the Hedgehog seem cool and a little menacing. Even the chubby, Genesis-era version of Metal Sonic comes off as pretty cool. Good job, Sega trailer editor!
