When we glance at the past we always refer as many game play styles as a reference or a triumph to the gamers pallet to experience originality in the market. Rock of Ages is a Arcade style RTS, mixing in that style of Tower Defense, with some loose tongue and cheek marble madness to the party. The Story plot is quite simple and right to the point you escape Hades as Sisyphus, a Myth based in Greek lore. As “Sisy” for short you trek from Ancient times to Mid evil times, and so forth. The impact of the story is told in a sort of Monty Python cartoon puppetry.

The whole concept of the game is to battle other Historical icons, by destroying their gates in hopes of entering their holes to escape and complete the stage. However they can construct Towers and units that can block your way and toss you over the edge, litterly. RTS comes into play as you destroy their units as you move along to their gate/door. A thing to note, the controls for the game are fantastic on the Xbox360. I have had the honor to try out the PC and it felt just as great with a keyboard and mouse. As most, would prefer the Keyboard and mouse for this game. I suffer no complaints for the Gamepad whats so ever and I can go at it ether way. So in simpler terms, the controls are good on the Xbox360 and the PC. The Paths every level get more complex and require allot of keen hand eye to move across as I found myself with plenty of trial and error to get across some areas and solving the locations.

Music and the Graphics are what set a brisk tone for this game, bot looking great, and offering a pretty comical feel. The cut-scenes offering some light story and some laughs with some pop culture one liners, were great to have a serious competitive run through the game and get that slapstick as a reward. With all of the key points about the game lets rap up this review with my closing thoughts.

Closing Thoughts:

For the price and the game play I can undoubtedly not express enough how fun this game is online. It takes your time and spends it wisely. I will strongly suggest this too all tower defense fans all around. With darn well impressive production quality. A great cast of characters to use online as well as plenty of round rocks to roll around. While this was great fun it did have a small single player mode. The game had a fair balance of issuing units and mechanics to a Tee. In closing, With games coming out as fun as this. I do not see the gaming industry coming and going anytime soon.
