During Gamescom 2010, Insomniac confirmed that it was working on both Resistance 3 and Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One. While we’ve had a closer look at the latter, Sony CEA and Insomniac have been kept pretty quiet about the former. To date, they’ve only really shown the game to print publications, and we figured now would be a good time to gather what we know from Game Informer and GamesTM.
Fact: New pair of eyes
Spoilers for Resistance 2‘s campaign follow: Remember Corporal Joe Capelli? The lippy guy who threatens to shoot Nathan Hale (a.k.a. you), and, in fact, does so at the end? That’s who you’re playing for this installment — no Mass Effect 2-style, “Nathan Hale was killed and then revived through science” affair. Insomniac purposely introduced Capelli in a Resistance-related alternate reality game (“Project Abraham”), and then further developed him in Resistance 2 as setup for this game.
