OnLive may soon be giving video streaming juggernaut Netflix a bit more in the way of direct competition.

In a recent Wall Street Journal article (subscription required), which contained an unconfirmed report that OnLive will be entering the market next year, service founder Steve Perlman said that entertainment companies merely being “concerned” about Netflix’s dominance is a “gross understatement.”

“There’s a snowball effect,” Perlman said. “At some point they [Netflix] have so much content, if you want to get your stuff distributed you have to go with them.”
