A masterful replica prop of the titular Portal gun (above) will be going up for auction to benefit the Child’s Play charity. The craftsman Harrison Krix showed off the prop on his blog in preparation for the charity. It will be sold at the annual Child’s Play charity dinner on December 7, and a custom base for the gun will be signed by Krix and team members from Valve.
Krix shows off how he pieced it together step-by-step on his blog, in case you’re curious. The annual charity dinner is often one of the biggest single contributors to Child’s Play, and features many unique items signed or made by gaming celebrities. Child’s Play takes individual donations as well, so don’t forget to chip in towards giving games and toys to hospitalized kids.
