Renegade Kid Talks Canceled Wii Game Son of the Dragon

The Dementium developer tells us about the action game they worked on before losing funding.

Remember Gamecock? Kind of hard to believe they existed in retrospect, I realize, but that’s not to say they didn’t work with talented developers. One of those was Renegade Kid — best known for the DS first-person horror game Dementium: The Ward — who signed up to make a Wii game towards the end of Gamecock’s run. It would have been the team’s first console title, but after Gamecock went under and SouthPeak picked up the leftovers, they were left without a publishing deal.

Strangely, Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham calls this “a wise move.” I recently emailed him a handful of questions to find out more about what the game was about.

1UP: Alright, so let’s start simple — what kind of game was it?
