Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power is a turn-based sci-fi strategy based on a well known Russian novel “Prisoners of Power”. A young man crash-lands on an alien planet controlled by an oppressive society, overthrows it, and now we have to deal with the aftermath. The game is, in many way, similar to the previous Wargaming.net title: Massive Assault, also available (and on promo) on GOG.com. It’s a game that looks like your traditional RTS, but remains an entertaining large-scale turn-based wargame behind the scenes. A unique backstory, varied units, morale mechanic, and pure strategy – Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power is an important, though long-lost, entry in the canon of PC wargaming.
