There could only be one winner. After it was all said and done, Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption took home the coveted Game of the Year prize from the VGA, besting Call of Duty: Black Ops, God of War III, Halo: Reach and Mass Effect 2.
Other noteworthy winners throughout the evening include Costume Quest‘s victory as downloadable game of the year, and Limbo‘s victory as indie game of the year. In addition, BSG‘s Tricia Helfer finally won an award for something, as a voice in Starcraft 2.
