At its Quakecon presentation today, id Software dropped an official release date for Rage. The game will be coming on September 13, 2011 for the U.S., and September 15 for Europe. And to assuage any fears about platform parity, it was shown running on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC simultaneously — all at 60 frames per second.
The game was also shown yesterday running on the iPhone, managing to look impressive for the hardware. A year might seem like a long time, but so far id is saying (and showing) all the right things to make us believe that it’s worth the wait. Check out our preview for more details, and stick around for more coverage from QuakeCon 2010.
