In this gameplay video, Ready Set Indie Games plays Projection: First Light on PC for thedailygamepad.net. Lately, I have been really into story rich games that don’t have a lot of speaking in it. Most of the time I enjoy these games because I feel that you have to be really talented to get your story across without using any type of dialogue at all. So, I was really excited when we here at thedailygamepad.net were ask to cover Projection: First Light as this is the genre of game I have been into lately. I watched the trailer for the game and fell in love with the game and knew for sure that I was going to want to cover it. However, before I begin my review of the game I would like to thank the publisher and developers for providing us at thedailygamepad.net with a free copy of the game to play for this review.
Projection: First Light is a game that is mobile and has now been ported to multiple platforms. The game is about a young girl who goes on an adventure and uses shadow puppets to tell the stories and tales of multiple stories.
It should be known, there is an issue with the game — as shown in the video below– that if you do not set it up to stay at 60 FPS or turn on VSYNC through your graphics card’s settings it will cause the game to go bonkers and will glitch like crazy, making it unplayable. So again be sure to set the game to 60 FPS or turn on VSYNC so that this does not occur. Again this has to be done through your video card settings.
While I was waiting for a fix for the PC version I did manage to play the Apple Arcade version which was excellent. So, I am glad that they came up with a fix for the PC version of the game, as I really enjoy the game on PC. The graphics are stunning and the story is quite an interesting one to start off.
You play as a young girl who appears to be on her way to school. On her way to school, she gets hungry and takes an apple from an apple vendor. The vendor gets mad and scolds her but she appears to feel bad, she is then intrigued by a glowing butterfly which proves to get her into more trouble than she askes for.
The game can be played with a keyboard, but I prefer to play it with a controller as it just seems to move better and seem to be an easier gameplay experience. The video only features the first 15 minutes or so of gameplay, for those who are interest in the game and just wanted to see some gameplay. If you would like to play Projection: First Light you can do so on the following platforms PC, Nintendo Switch , PlayStation 4 , Xbox One for $19.99 USD although the game is on sale for $15.99 USD until October 6, 2020. The game can also be enjoyed with an Apple Arcade subscription which is $4.99 USD.
