EA Sports MMA didn’t exactly set the world on fire when it debuted back in October, but that’s not stopping EA from pursuing a sequel. Speaking on the Figure Four Daily podcast (via Joystiq) earlier this week, associate producer Jeff Ecker let slip plans for EA Sports MMA 2.
“There is definitely going to be an EA Sports MMA 2,” Ecker confessed, going on to suggest that a follow-up to the mixed martial arts sim was more of a “when” than an “if” scenario.
Considering the fact that rival publisher THQ recently secured exclusive rights to the UFC license for the next eight years, EA’s bound to have plenty of competition whenever it decides to put out the next MMA.
