Blizzard has announced that StarCraft character Artarnis is now playable in its MOBA game, Heroes of the Storm. Players who have pre-purchased the upcoming StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void expansion unlock the character in Heroes of the Storm, who otherwise becomes available on October 27 for all players to purchase, either via in-game gold or real world money.

Players who pick up any edition of StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void will also be able to access Artanis in Heroes of the Storm at no extra cost. In addition to the announcement, Blizzard has also unveiled a new comic featuring the noble Protoss leader.

StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void will launch on November 10. Three prologue missions which tie the events of Legacy of Void to the previous expansion, Heart of the Swarm, can be downloaded for free. Fans can also pick up a collector’s edition, which includes a two-disc behind the scenes set (DVD and Blu-ray) with over an hour of bonus features, soundtrack, a 174 page “field manual”, and bonus in-game content for five of Blizzard’s games: World of Warcraft, StarCraft 2, Diablo III, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, and Heroes of the Storm.

Legacy of the Void represents the final chapter in the StarCraft II trilogy. It also concludes the story that began with the original StarCraft, though that doesn’t necessarily mean the end of StarCraft as a franchise.
