After racking up record numbers in two days, Pokemon Black & White remained the top selling game in Japan according to tracking company Media Create (via 4Gamer.net). Between September 20th and September 26th, Japanese consumers bought 828,580 copies of the latest Pokemon saga, bring its nine day total to 3,386,358 units sold.

In second place with 174,213 copies sold was the new PSP Yakuza game, Yakuza Black Panther. This was far and away the strongest new game on the chart, outselling the third through tenth place games combined. However, it is worth noting that high-definition Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 4 sold twice as well in their respective debuts, despite Japanese gamers owning far more PSPs than PS3s.
